depletions of water analyzed in this opinion o^ the Colorado squawfish,
humpback chub, and bonytail chub. The FWS has been notified in writing that
• SHM agrees to fund conservation measures in this total amount.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Bald Eaxle
Due to the proximity of the SKM surface facilities and rail spur to bald
eagle winter habitat, we are concerned that the proposed activity may
minimally impact this endangered species. We therefore recommend that the
activity avoid all riparian trees in excess of 12 inches diameter at breast
height. A time of year restriction to minimize disturbance to the bald
eagle is not necessary, since a major construction along this rail spur is
proposed only during the summer moaths.
• CONCLUSION
Should there be any changes in the amount. of water depletion or any other
project change from that which was proposed which may affect any endangered
or threatened species, or if there is failure to agree to the Conservation
Measures outlined above, then the FWS should be contacted to determine if
further consultation is required.
bcc: SE, SLC
AFA/SE, Denver (Wathen)
BLM, GJ
Official file
Reading file
C~
IU
