C. Wastewater Management
Waste water from the site amounts to ground water collected in the excavated pit
and pumped to an existing irrigation ditch. The point of discharge (Outfall Number 001)
is identified in the NPDES permit application submitted to the Colorado Department of
Health and Environment.
D. Storm Water Management
Practices to control surface runoff can vary widely and are often determined by the
physical site circumstances (location, natural or evolved topography, or drainage).
Surrounding areas are usually (not always) sloped to direct process water and storm water
from disturbed areas into the water collection system (as described above).
