i <br />EXHIBIT D - MINING PLAN <br />• <br />Site preparation, development and mining for C-JD-9 <br />will be performed by contractor for Cotter Corporation. <br />SURFACE FACILITIES <br />The surface plant is situated around the inclined entry <br />way in order to most efficiently utilize the available space. <br />The surface facilities include one building ('J2'X40'X12') <br />which houses the shop, compressor, warehouse, office, change <br />room, and the hoist room; the transformer station; the trestle <br />and dump pads; along with the waste dump. <br />Potable water for the nine is hauled by truck and is <br />distributed to the buildings through a Colorado State Depart- <br />ment of Health approved system. Sewage and ~•raste water is <br />disposed of through a septic tank and leach-field approved by <br />the State Department of Health. All refuse and solid waste <br />which cannot be disposed of by burning is buried within the <br />lease boundaries. The trash burning is done with approval <br />of the Montrose County Commissioners with notification being <br />given to the Montrose Sheriff's Department and the Bureau of <br />Land Management, Montrose, Colorado, of the time and date <br />prior to any burning. <br />San Miguel Pourer Company provides power to the 800-KVA <br />Cotter-o~,med sub-station at 28,800 volts where it will be <br />transformed down to 440 volts for surface and 2,300 volts for <br />underground. <br />
