72
State Reg. Federal Reg.
• PERSAYO SANDY CLAY I1Y1M - Ut7IT #9909-D-1,2; 10-20~ STAPES.
The "A" horizon is predcriinantly 0.33 feet thick. The "B" hori-
zon is absent. Only 0.17 feet of "C" horizon can be saved.
Approximately 11.09 acres of this moderately steep Persayo soil
exists on t-he proposed mine disturbance area. Therefore, about
5.54 acre-f..eet of suitable topsoil are expected from the mine
site (Table 9•^2) ,
SHAVANO SANDY CT,F.Y IAAM -UNIT #5810/2B-1, 2-5~ STAPES. Approxi-
mat~?ly 0.94 acres of this soil occur on the proposed permit mine
distui)~ance arm. The "A" and "B" horizons are both 0.50 feet
thick. The total thickness of salvageable "C" horizon material
is 1.00 feet. Therefore, this soil unit should yield 1.38 acre-
feet of highly suitable topsoil from the mine site area (Table 9-2).
SHAVANO SANDY CLAY LOAM -UNIT #5810/7C-2, 5-10$ STAPES. Topsoil
salvage fran this soil unit shall consist of 0.50, 0.50, and 0.67
• feet of "A", "B", and "C" horizon material respectively. There
are approximately 53.67 acres of this sloping Shawano soil on the
proposed permit disturbace area. Therefore, about 89.62 acre-
feet of suitable topsoil are expected fran the mine site (Table
9-2).
SHAVANr) SANDY CIAY hOAM -UNIT #SB10I/3B-2, 2-5$ SLOPES. The
"A" hori8on is predaninantly 0.50 feet thick. Generally, 0.50
feet of "B" h~r~~on and 1.00 feet of "C" horizon can be salvage3.
Approximately 2.66 ~C1'P.6 O£ thi a gently sloping Shawano, wet
phase, soil exist on the proposed mine disturbance area. This
soil unit should yield 5.32 acre-feet of high quality surface
soil from the mine site (Table 9-2).
SHAVANO SANDY CIAY I.C]A[d -UNIT #SB10I/7C-1, 5-10~ STAPES. Top-
soil salvage fran this soil unit shall consist of 0.50, 0.50,
and 0.67 feet of "A", "B", and "C" horizon material respectively.
