RECLAMATION PLAN
The area will be left as a pond. Banks of the pond will be left irregular
shaped and with slopes no steeper than 3:1 (3 horizontal to 1 vertical)
to a depth of 10 feet below the water surface and no steeper than 2:1
from that point to the pond bottom.
Oversize rock or unusable material will be left on the pit floor, which
will provide an irregular space for fish habitat. The pit slopes and
other disturbed area will be covered with overburden to a depth of
approximately 6 inches and reseeded with the seed mixture recommended
by the Soil Conservation Service.
Two islands are proposed, which are to be left around existing stands
of cottonwood trees. Reclamation is estimated to be complete two years
after completion of mining operation.
