Very pale brawn (lOYR 7/4) channery loam, yellowish brown (lOYR 5/4) <br />moist; massive; hard, friable, slightly sticky, hard and slightly plaztiG 35 percent sandstone <br />channery, mildly alkaline (pH 7.4); gradual smooth boundary. <br />R 14 inches. Grayish brown (lOYR 52) clay loam, very dark grayish brown (lOYR 32) <br />moist; weak medium and fine subangular blocky structure; hard, triable, 5 percent angular <br />sandstone fragments; then patchy clay films, slightly acid (pH 6.5); clear wavy boundary. <br />B21t 12 to 18 inches. Light brown (7.SYR 6/4) channery clay loam, brown (7.SYR 5/4) moist; <br />massive; hard, friable, slightly sticky, plastic; 20 percent sandstone fragments; calcareots, viable <br />secondary lime well disseminated throughout horizon; slightly acid (pH 6.3); abrupt wavy <br />boundary. <br />R 37 inches. Fractured, calcareous sandstone bedrock, many feet thick. <br />TORRIFLUVENT <br />UNIT S <br />C~ <br />A. 0 to 4 inches. Grayish brown (IOYR 52) loam, dark grayish brown (lOYR 4R) moist; weak <br />fine granular structure; soft, very friable, slightly sticky and slightly plaztir, neutral (pH 6.9); <br />abrupt wavy boundary. <br />C. 4 to 60 inches. Light brownish gray (2.SYR 62) thinly stratified sandy loam and sandy clay <br />loam, dark grayish brown (2.SYR 42) moist; massive; slightly hard, very friable, slightly sticky <br />and slightly plastic; common tine and very tine roots; strongly effervescent; mildly alkaline (pH <br />7.6). <br />
