MCC and
the CDMG selected a vegetation community in the immediate vicinity of the mine which closely
approximated the biologic composition and character of a post-mine plant community as well as the
physical chazacteristicsof the affected areas of the mine. This vegetation community was a former
agricultural and pasture azea above the existing facilities area. The vegetation community and
physical characteristics (slope, aspect, drainage patterns) closely approximated the anticipated
character of the reclaimed landscape and vegetation community.
Revised Nov. 1996 PR07
2.05-67
