Active <br />disturbance of no more than 10 acres will be smoothed out <br />through the bed of the stream before any new activity bagina_ <br />This will occur as wo go from upstream to downstream. Some <br />depressions may be left as recommended by the Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife in order to make water more available to wildlife <br />Species. Any reseeding in the bed of the stream is un- <br />necessary~ as it would be destroyed during the ner.t high <br />flow instance. <br />(b) The post-mining land uee is likely to romain rangeland. <br />(c) If needed, reseeding and mulching wil: be performed at the <br />end of the life of the mine as per recommendations by the <br />Natural Resrurces Conservation Service. Since r.o disturbances <br />to the bank areas will occur, this activity is net expected <br />to be necessary. No wator will be used in con unction with <br />this operation except when water is present in the creek <br />ac a result of precipatian. This mining opvratir~n will have <br />minimal effect to the surface water or groundwater-. After <br />reviewing this mininq plan, the Colorado Division of Wildlife <br />did not eve a significant impact on wildlife or wildlife <br />habitat_ There are no threatened [tr endangered sper_ies <br />present. <br />(d) not applicably <br />(e) Phased reclamation will be per~Formed as the operations <br />move along the stream channel. After completion of mining <br />in the first ten acre cogment, the stream hod will be <br />smoothed out and regraded, i•F necessary, before moving to the <br />next tan acre segment.
