I_;~nap
1313 Sherman Street, Room 423 ~;Er~~;;ivf:~')•f~fd C)fVfS!OIV
Denver, CO 80203
Enclosed please find my application for an MLR Permit, including
the usual forms and information required.
Historically, there are three existing gravel pits on the Corey
property, called Corey Pits #1,2 and 3, all of which were opened up
and mined during the 1960's and 70's. Montrose County has been
involved in all three pits, as well as with other private contractors.
!•Sontrose County also holds an MLR Permit on this property, Pit #2.
The County has been involved in all three pits and their hot plant
was operated in Pit #1 until 1982-1983.
I was of the opinion that the County permit covered all three nits.
However, upon checking the records, I have found that the permit
covers only Pit #2.
It is my desire to rehabilitate Pits #1 and #2, and to overate in
Pit #3 only. Hence, my request for a permit in my name.
We have a total of 220 acres on this place and our home is located
here as well. We raise cattle and crops, and have a large amount
of hilly undeveloped areas for wildlife, which we intend to protect
as well as continue in that land use. We have followed a conser-
vation plan provided by the Goil Conservation Service, portions of
which are provided in this report.
Respectfully,
W ,
Robert D.
