1~~ii~riiilui»ii <br />i-- ~~~/ Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Localtions <br />Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies that the CDMG will be provided with map(s) illustrat- <br />ing the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate locations <br />for stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year. Those maps (5-1 and 5-2) are <br />included in this section. <br />These maps were initially revised in 1990 and have been submitted annually in Appendix W updating the <br />repoA and map series, as per TR-48. Each update includes the locations of existing stockpiles. Since <br />1990, Trapper has provided the approximate topsoil volumes (cyds) for existing stockpiles. Table 4.9.2- <br />1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, a coordinate (based on the approxi- <br />mate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually. <br />At the end of 1995 there were 75 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 169.3 acres and storing <br />approximately 3,815,087 cubic yards of salvaged materials. <br />During 1995, Trapper constructed five new stockpiles and added topsoil to six existing piles. Addition- <br />ally, portions of five existing piles were removed and twelve piles were eliminated via topsoil replace- <br />ment. <br />The proposed approximate locations (as shown an Topsoil Stockpile Maps 1 and 2) for topsoil stockpiling <br />in 1996 may exceed the actual number that will be constructed. Proposed topsoil stockpiles and the <br />number of piles constructed are dependent upon the field wndftions that are encountered each reclama- <br />tion season. Additionally, particular piles may be depleted from or added to in order to maintain a cost <br />• effective salvage or replacement program during a particular year. <br />Permit tables 4.9-3 and 4.9-4 were not updated within this report as the current mid-term review is <br />addressing the topsoil balance issue. <br />rDMGVSREPI57 <br /> <br />
