Pueblo, CO 81005 5 ~ Colorado e~ Interstate Gas en EI Paso company Re: Leone Sand & Gravel Pit in Section 33-32S-63W in Las Animas County, Colorado Hi Joe, Thank you for sending the drawings regazding the mining activities that will occur near our _. . , 8 inch and 16 inch high-pressure natural gas pipelines. As previously discussed on the phone, no blasting will occur at this site. Colorado Interstate Gas Company ("CIG") has the following comments regarding this project: 1). We will need a minimum of 48 inches of cover over the pipelines tivhere the front loaders and semi-trucks will cross our pipelines. If heavier equipment or vehicles need to cross the pipelines, we will need 48 hours of advance notice to consult our personnel to determine if any further mitigation is necessary. 2). Crossing locations shall be held to a minimum to mitigate disturbance on the easement: Said crossing locations will be mutually agreed upon by CIG and the mining company. 3). Please contact Cecil Coffinan (719-859-0635) or Kevin Hughes (719-250-8099) at least 72 hours prior to the start of activities in the area. 4). Potholing of the pipelines is required to ensure adequate cover is aver the pipelines where the traffic will cross. Potholing cost is the responsibility of the mining company or landowner. A CIG Operations representative must be given 3 days notice prior to the potholing and needs to be onsite while the potholing is being performed. 5). No cover over the easement shall be reduced without the written permission of CIG. A 3:1 slope must be maintained across the entire right of way. See Exhibit "A." 6). A CIG Encroachment Permit, attached as Exhibit B", must be executed prior to any activities over the easement.
