Where are you going to mine in <br />the future? <br />Present mining operation is on land which was disturbed prior <br />to June 1973--61 acres. <br />Storage and Plant area on previously disturbed land--20 acres. <br />Future operation on previously disturbed lands--17 acres, <br />Area of future operations on previously unaffected lands-- <br />36 acres. <br />Total mining permit boundary includes--134 acres. <br />Of this 134 acres--98 acres were disturbed prior to July 1973. <br />Questions #1--Can they make Quarry flat enough for industria l <br />use? May not have county zoning and need backup plan for <br />industrial park? <br />Answer #1--In accordance with our reclamation plan design con- <br />tours, approximately 45 acres of land will have slopes less <br />than 5% which is suitable for industrial sites. The remaining <br />acreage may be used for a park site or buffer areas around the <br />industrial park. <br />Slopes: existing slopesfrom Mining Plan Contours vary from <br />flat areas to 2:1. Slopes on the Reclamation Plan vary from <br />5~ to 2:1. <br />Question #2--What about effect on wildlife? <br />Answer #2--Wildlife statement states that there would be <br />minimal negative impact on wildlife. This theory should be <br />true for both mining and reclamation phases. <br />Exhibit C1 has been supplemented to reflect mining land uses. <br /> <br />
