• requirement by Mined Land Reclamation Division. The two cells
allow the runoff and sediment to be discharged into one cell
while the other cell is being dried out and the accumulated
sediment removed. A six-feet high berm in the middle of the pond
provides the separation between the two cells but allows overflow
between the two cells in the event of a major storm. A concrete
diversion box and culvert line C7 allow the diversion of incoming
flows into either cell. Erosion protection is provided from the
diversion box down to the floor of the pond. This erosion
protection is provided by large boulders forming a run-down chute
into the pond.
•
U
3
