Garfield County Courthouse in Glenwood Springs on Monday ,

ianen the following proceedings, among others were had and done, to-wit:
RESOLUTION NO. g
A RESOLUTION CONCERNED WITH THE APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF THE DIVISION OF
HIGHWAYS, STATE OF COLORADO FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT.
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways, State of Colorado, has filed a
petition with the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County,
Colorado, for approval of a Conditional Use permit to permit the
extraction of natural resources in accordance with Sections 5.03 and 9.02
of the Garfield County Zoning Resolution of 1978, as amended; and
WHEREAS, based on the evidence, testimony, exnibits, study of the
master plan for the unincorporated area of the County, comments of the
Garfield County Planning Department, comments of public officials and
agencies, comments from all interested parties, tnis Board finds as
follows:
1. That the application for the Conditional Use permit meets all
requirements of the Zoning Resolution of Garfield County;
2. That the proposed land use will be compatible with the existing
land uses in the nearby area;
3. That for the above stated and other reasons, the proposed
Conditional Use permit is in the best interest of the healtn,
safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity, and welfare of
the citizens of Garfield County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Garfield County, Colorado that the application of the Division of
Highways, State of Colorado for a Conditional Use permit on the following
described property oe and 'Hereby is granted and-approved subject to the
following conditions:
1. All proposals of the applicant shall be considered conditions of
approval unless stated otrierwise by the Board of County
Commissioners;
2. The applicant shall comply with all local, state and federal
agency permit requirements. Copies of any extensions or new
permits shall be submitted to the Planning Department witnin one
month of obtaining the permits or extensions.
3. That the applicant will notify all adjacent private landowners of
the proposed natural resource extraction operation as a part of
the rtLRB approval.
