Riparian zone- principal species being willow, cinquefoil
and associated grasses. Rangeland - principal species being fe

The Division of Wildlife owns the surface on Columbia Res. and ha an
easement on the Ducommun placer adjacent the operation. The DOW roperty
is titled "Alma State Widlife Area". (see attached sheet)

I[ is recommended that a conservation pool be established on Colu is Res.
the headgate should be screened and placed so that at least 5 acr feet of
water is held in the reservoir. Settling ponds should be redesig ed and lined
to prevent a dam break. In addition, on occasion DOW has need fo rock and
gravel products. It would be appreciated if the operation could nate
several yards annually if the need arises.
