Name/TYVe and Location of Hine <br />;:ldlife Species list: <br />Potential impact on aquatics, being brook, brown and <br />rainbow trout. In addition there is occasional use 6y <br />deer, elk, mink, red fox, beaver, muskrat, and raptors. <br />.;?angered/critical _sveciesJimpac[ed: <br />Brook, Brown and rainbow trout. <br />=:itical habitats/vegetative communities impacted: <br />L~ t_-=- <br />ned Land <br />..~ <br />.F <br />1'~~'r ~~~~~ <br /> <br />Riparian zone- principal species being willow, cinquefoil <br />and associated grasses. Rangeland - principal species being fe <br />ssessment of impact: <br />The Division of Wildlife owns the surface on Columbia Res. and ha an <br />easement on the Ducommun placer adjacent the operation. The DOW roperty <br />is titled "Alma State Widlife Area". (see attached sheet) <br />~'^e Reclamation recoimnendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />'s designed). <br />I[ is recommended that a conservation pool be established on Colu is Res. <br />the headgate should be screened and placed so that at least 5 acr feet of <br />water is held in the reservoir. Settling ponds should be redesig ed and lined <br />to prevent a dam break. In addition, on occasion DOW has need fo rock and <br />gravel products. It would be appreciated if the operation could nate <br />several yards annually if the need arises. <br />James M.
