PARK ~0~.~~aTY~
ROAD ,~~~~s:~~ ~R~~i4~E DEPT.
F.O. Box 147
FAIRPLAY, COLO. 80440
719-836-2771 • 303-838-7509 • 719-689-2555
February 9, 1995
Mr. Carl Mount
Division of Minerals and Geology
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street Room X215
Denver, CO 80203-2273
Dear Mr. Mount,
III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
999
Recently, I received what I learned to be our annual gravel pit
renewal reports. After reviewing these documents, I realized that
we were one application short for one of our pits located in the
southern part of our county.
I have been holding the position of Park County Road and Bridge
Assistant Coordinator for approximately seven months.
Consequently, I have not. had the opportunity to prepare documents
pertaining to the above mentioned renewal reports. I have,
however, had the pleasure to work with Barbara Chiappone when she
assisted me in finishing up a pit closure. Therefore, I
immediately contacted Barbara to e:cplain my dilemma- After ouz•
conversation, I am under the assumption that Park County may be in
violation of a gravel pit registration regulation.
At this time, we have notified our staff and made arrangements to
begin whatever steps are necessary. We apologize for the oversite
and are willing to assist in any way possible, in order to mitigate
any hardship we may have unknowingly imposed on you and your
department.
Once again, thank you for your assistance. We will lock forceard to
working with you in resolving this matter.
Resp~ect~fully submitted,
~~~.--c. ~'yL~
Rick Peters
Assistant Coordinator
Park County Road and Bridge Department
