SIMPSON <br />Acting State Engineer <br /> <br />UN 9 1992 <br />Mlnea Land <br />ReclamatiDn n:~.:,,; <br />~n <br />We have reviewed the application for the Sand Creek Mine as per your request of May 14, 1992. The <br />application states that the mine will be used for the extraction of sand on a pazcel of land 40 acres in size. <br />Although the mine will be located along the bed of Bijou Creek, the creek bed is dry except after upstream <br />precipitation events. The mine will be constructed so that surface water will not enter the pit. No ground- <br />water is anticipated.
