5. Our May 11, 1984 submittal from the Soil Conserva-
tion Service answers your questions concerning topsoil
stockpiles, perennial grass cover crop, and the species
and seeding rate.
6. The permit boundary is approximately 110 feet at
its nearest point to the existing drainage way. The
drainage way itself is an ephemeral stream, which at
best flows during the spring run off. ~~c.ciG
7. An undisturbed buffer o~ 110 eef t will be maintain-
ed between the drainage way`and any mining operations of
any character. The existing haul road does not cross
the drainage way. The edge of the mining site next to
the drainage way will be bermed to prevent any sediment
spill into the drainage way.
8. The haul road is presently in existence, and will
not require improvement in conjunction with the mining
operation.
9. The maximum depth of the mining activity will be 15
feet.
10. We enclose a large outline map in accordance with
your request, being a revision to our Exhibit B-1.
Please note that as set Forth in Exhibit B (sequence of
operation), the phasing of the operation will entail
periodic moving of the crusher, as well as material
stockpiles. Therefore, Exhibit B-1 only sets forth the
location of the crusher, product stockpile, and topsoil
stockpile for the initial phase. Very little in addi-
tion to the existing haul road and drainage way can be
shown upon the exhibit, since the terrain is essentially
featureless, and the applicant does not propose other
manmade structures or additions than those which we have
shown.
11. At Exhibit D, the vegetation information has been
set forth in our May 11, 1984 submittal from the Soil
Conservation Service.
12. The soils questions have been answered by our May
11, 1984 submittal from the Soil Conservation Service.
13. At Exhibit E, the May 11, 1984 submittal Erom the
Soil Conservation Service answers the questions con-
cerning your several questions regarding this exhibit.
