Access is by F='rowers County Road CC, east 4 miles to <br />an e::isting ail well accesas road, south C/4 mile to ,-~ co ~atructed <br />haul road and east .1~ miles. The pit is =_~_i~ rounded by e>;isting <br />rangeland. <br />' The area is classified as a shortgrass rangeland wi h mi;;ed <br /> yr'asses and fortis. Wildlife species common to the s ortyrass <br /> rangeland could he e::peci:ed to be present on 5i1_e. IVo species <br />t were ob=_erved during a fifald review on hiar'ch 1, 1984. <br /> Species of wildlife whicFi could inhabit the site incl.ud Desert <br /> cottontail, Plains har-vest mouse, Western Yiarvest mouse, NusF::r~at, <br />' Coyote, Mule deer-, Scaled quail, Common nighthaw4;, Western <br /> meadowlarL;, EullsnaL:e, F='rairie rattlesnaL;e, Antelope, hlourning <br /> dove, Swift fo;:, and Raptors (transient). <br />' <br /> Other species could be e:;pected due to nomadic or igratory <br /> movements including passerines, raptors, small mammals, rodents, <br />' a,nd desert reptiles. Na threatened ar endangered spe ies are <br /> L:nown to inhabit the site.. <br /> This operation will temporarily disturb a 9.9 acre p reel of <br />t rangeland. This site is„ however, surrounded by simila habitat <br /> and the operation is not expected to have any perceptib a impact <br /> on wildlife species. <br />' <br /> A Division of Wildlife report is attached. <br />' W A T ER <br /> <br />' There is no ponded surfaeea water present on the site. <br />resulting from occasional. precipitation events may tend Moisture <br />to pond <br /> before being absorbed by the soil.
