This is not suitable for <br />Coalby Canyon since the area has increased residents (lots of retirees) whd would like the peace <br />and quiet to continue. Please deny this permit. <br />R~,eiyg~ from Don a Leucke February 18.2005 J <br />The Coalby area has been a part of my !de since elementary school (1950'x}, The <br />acr©age south of the cliffs (the Red Canyon mine of the north} was part of a ranch owned by my <br />Uncle. His property was divided by what is rxsvr Ward Creek Road. The main house and paskure <br />was west of Ward Creek Road and the ground east of Ward Creek Road was in alfaNa and a few <br />iNit trees and a small 3 room rental house. There era now fi residents on this property west of <br />Ward Creek Road and approximately the same number of houses on this property east of Ward <br />Creek Road. The prope+iy I own was inherited from my father in 1989. <br />This history is provkred to give credence to my bng term observations and heartfelt <br />interest in preserving the Coalby environment Growth in Goalby although continuous was <br />relativety sbw until the early 1990'x. Land divisien prmarly single splits were being purchased by <br />people out of wanly and primarily out of state as future retirement home sites. Large acreages <br />sold for high prices as people Invested in the opportunity W secure their dream of living in the <br />arena of nature away tram urb~ rroise. The population of Coatby has not only more than doubted <br />in the past 15 years, over 90°~ of thes6 people era retired. 1 live on Ward Greek Road north of <br />Bttmstone Raad, there era only 4 farrd4es Mrs full length of this road from Unitah to the old dairy or <br />Kiser Creek Road with school children. AN the rest of the twuses seen from Ward Creak Road or <br />the proposed grevei pit area over $0 of fhem are retired people who have moved here for one <br />
