C~ <br />• <br />necessary information about the local hydrology and current disposition of contaminants, I <br />would recommend that the Division not progress with the application until these information <br />needs have been remedied. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />At a minimum, the operator should: <br />1. Identify the current stratigraphic and aerial distribution of contaminants from the Rocky <br />Mountain Arsenal. <br />2. Provide a list of local contaminants from the RMA along with their regulatory limits for <br />drinking water, agricultural, and surface water uses. <br />3. Provide a hydrostratigraphic report showing what effects that pumping from the pit area <br />will have on local groundwater, and what likelihood there is of drawing contaminants <br />into the pit or into the discharge water. <br />This information should be available from the CDPHE Federal Facilities Unit, the EPA <br />CERCLA Unit, or from their contractors. <br />cc: Bruce Humphries <br />
