There
are a few concerns T would like to mention:
1. Water Rights - you must have rights for any water pumped from a
river or alluvial aquifer; you should be careful not to interfere with the
functioning of the Ant:ero ditch; your attention is directed to the
necessity of compliance with Colorado water law. The Division of Water
Resources should be contacted to investigate the applicable requirements.
2. Settling Ponds - t:he Division of Wildlife suggested locating ponds at
least 100 feet from any river. (~or..'hn~. .~.tM-.t~'~..k.( a, .M .J
~ 3. Reclamation Plan - your plan should clarify that if the post-mining
0~' ,~~S~ISY development for residential uses doesn't work out the site will be reclaimed
(~eti for wildlife or grazing (all lands would be smooth-graded and revegetated
as per SCS recommendat.ions).
4. Public Notice - demonstration of proper notice as per Rule 2.2 must
be provided prior to [he presentation of this application at the Play 26-27,
1982 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
If I can assist with further clarification, or if you have other questions,
feel free to contact me.
i"1
~in ere fir,
i
~e~er H.
