JULY 1979 <br />Page 5 <br />The Colorado State Employment Service is located at <br />the job service center nearest the project. <br />Information on the location of Minority Group Organizations <br />like]y to yie]d applicants for employment may be obtained <br />from the Staff Construction Office. <br />1 This contract shall not take effect or be in force until said Contractor <br />1 shall have furnished and delivered to the party of the first part a surety <br />bond, acceptable to said first party, in a penal sum equal to the nearest <br />integral $100.00 in excess of the estimated contract price as per "Schedule" <br />hereto attached, duly executed by a corporate surety, qualified and licensed <br />to do business in Colorado and maintaining a general agent therein. <br />l It is especially understood and agreed that the Tnvitation for Bids, the <br />J Contractor's Proposal, the Plans, Standard Specifications for Road and <br />Bridge Construction, and Special Provisions, all being applicable to the <br />7 project and on file in the office of the Division of Highways at Denver, <br />J Colorado, together with such alterations and modifications as may be made <br />in accordance with the provisions of said Plans and Specifications, are each <br />and all included in and made a part of this contract. (Also refer to FHWA 1213 of <br />this Contract). <br />In consideration of the foregoing the party of the first part hereby <br />agrees to pay to the Contractor, according to the requirements of the <br />specifications, the amounts required Cor the completed-work at the unit <br />prices set forth in the Contractor's Proposal, and such Curther amounts as <br />may be required for extra work or materials, all according to the provisions <br />and subject to the conditions as set forth in the specifications above referred <br />to. <br />' It is further agreed that time is ofessenceofthis contract and that work <br />shall begin under this contract no later than the * day <br />of (or such later date as may be authorized in writing by the <br />' Chief Engineer, in the "Notice to Proceed") and that all work must be <br />completed within 50 working days in accordance with the "Notice to <br />Proceed." <br />' * As per Special Provisions <br />
