Wenzel <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Minerals & Geology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 ~~ <br />Re: Glade Quarry (File No. M-2006-021) (CHS #47890) <br />Dear Mr. Wenzel: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated April 21, 2006 (received by our office on April 24) concerning <br />the project listed above. <br />A search of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory indicated that one survey for cultural resources has <br />been conducted in the proposed permit area and no cultural resource sites are known to be located within the <br />proposed permit area. However, our files contain incomplete information for this area, as most of Colorado <br />has not yet been inventoried for cultural resources. There is the possibility that as yet unidentified cultural <br />resources exist within the permit area. <br />Should human remains be discovered during mining activities, the requirements under State law CRS 24-80 <br />part 13 apply and must be followed. <br />Please note that our review of your project is expedited when you indicate the extent of the proposed <br />permit area on a legible portion of the appropriate and clearly identified 7.5 minute USGS <br />topographic map. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
