Section - 205.3 <br />N. Parking Lot -The employee parking lot is a graded gravel-surfaced area that provides parking <br />for mine employees. <br />O. Mine Office -The previous mine office bullding was removed in conjunction with expansion <br />of the Elk Creek coal stockpile. A replacement office building was constructed just south of <br />the former East Yard coal stockpIle area. This office was expanded with the west wing <br />addition in 2006. The office buiding is a single-story pre-engineered metal building with <br />gabled roof on a concrete Eootet foundation. <br />P. Shop and Warehouse -The previous shop and warehouse was removed in conjunction with <br />expansion of the Elk Creek coal stockpile, and a replacement shop and warehouse building <br />was constructed in the East Yard area. The shop/warehouse is a two-story pre-engineered <br />metal building with gabled roof on a concrete slab foundation. The shop provides some of <br />the surface maintenance and repair facilities required in conjunction with operation of the <br />undetground mine. The warehouse is used Eor receiving, storage and issuing of materials and <br />supplies used in the operation of the mine. <br />Q. Lamp Building -The former quonset building was demolished in 2005 and the function <br />moved to the Elk Creek Mine Lamphouse /office complex. <br />R. Women's Change Facility -This is a structural steel building on a concrete foundation that <br />houses the women's change and bath facility. This building also houses a 4,000-gallon <br />electric hot water tank that furnishes hot water Fox the mine bath facilities. <br />S. Bathhouse/Mine Rescue/Training Building - (Formerly the Sanitary Building) -This is a <br />strucmxal steel building on a concrete foundation expanded in 2006. It houses the men's <br />change, bathing, mine rescue and mine training rooms. The frame and foundation of the <br />former Sanitary building remains, but is expanded by the present building. <br />T. Culinary Water Collection and Treatment Plant -The collection and treatment facility <br />consists of a gravel infiltration bed, perforated CMP collection network, two pumps, pump <br />house and a pipeline fox delivery of the treated water to the 200,000-gallon storage tank. In <br />2004, afiltration/chlorination system building and finished water tank was constructed near <br />the 200,000 gallon mine water storage tank. The system provides filtered and disinfected <br />potable water to the mine facility and the Somerset Water District. <br />U. 200,000-Gallon Water Tank -The water tank provides storage fox raw water. The tank is a <br />steel plate tank on a reinforced concrete foundation. The tank is supplied by a pipeline frotn <br />the water supply infiltration gallery and treatment plant located on an alluvial terrace on the <br />north side of the North Foxk of the Gunnison River. <br />V Filtration Field and Wastewater Treatment System -The preexisting filtration field consisted <br />of a system of French drains which receive the effluem from septic tanks located at the <br />former shop, office, and bathhouse facilities. With relocation of the mine office, shop, and <br />warehouse the existing leach field serves only the existing bathhouse facilities and a new <br />septic tank system was established in the vicinity of the replacement facilities. A wastewater <br />treatment system, consisting of one or more septic tanks and a sanitary leach Eeld has been <br />established adjacent to the relocated facilities to serve the replacement mine office, shop, and <br />warehouse facilities. <br />W Substation No. 1 -Substation No. 1 is the main transfer point for electric power Eox <br />operation of the surface facilities located in the Elk Cteek facilities area. This substation <br />receives power from the main transmission line from the Juanita Substation located <br />southwest of the mouth of Beax Creek. The existing Substation No. 1 was removed in <br />MR78 2.05-15 Rev. May 2006 <br />
