STATE OF COLORADO
plchard D. Lemm, Governor
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOVRCES
DIVISION OF WILDLIFE
• Jack R. The notches in the ladder
should be off set to correspond with the center of the seven foot wide upper notch.
This would allow a more adequate resting area out of the main flow of the creeks.
No removal of the overstory should occur and any riparian vegitation removed
during construction should be anchored in r-he pool created and below the mid water
line to provide habitat for aquatic insect forms.
The bottom oC the upstream pool which is created by the weir should have natural
rock configurations with large boulders for resting/escape cover (hottom should not
be graded, leveled, smoothed etc. ).
If the Colorado Division oC Wildlife can be of further assistance or if more information
is needed please feel free to call on us.
Sincerely, /J ~ A~ed
C4~'L2~a C/I ~JCJ'Gk: C ~"~~
ames O.
