EXHIBIT J -VEGETATION INFORMATION (6.4.10)
(1) (a) Located along the banks of the Florida River and within western limits
of Phases A,B, C, and D there exists mature stands of narrow leaf
cottonwood and some elm trees. These stands are outside of the
actual proposed mining area and, as such, will not be impacted. The
remainder of the acreage of these phases consists of a variety of
pasture grasses.
Phase E, as discussed earner, was deforested some time ago and
currently exhibits scattered sage growth with the sparse presence of
some dry land grasses and forbs.
The valley slopes within the "Possible Affected Area° in the center of
the property and those east of the property boundaries have stands of
juniper and pinon with various sporadic native and non-native shrubs
and grasses. No mining of these valley slopes is proposed.
Development impacts in these areas will be restricted to the
construction of the east access roadway and the conveyance corridor
from Phase E to the proposed plant site.
(b) Attached with Exhibit I is a map indicating soil types and the relative
existing vegetation.
(2) The relationship of vegetation types to existing topography are shown
on Exhibit C
lA
