•
the Third White Sandstone in this area must be lower since 1986.
These declines are thought to be natural.
Water levels for the Johnson and Flume Gulch alluvial wells,
J1 and Coy, are presented in Fig~.rres 9-.35 and 9-36. The plot of J1
water levels show fairly ste.ad.v values. Mine discharge into
Johnson Gitlr_h has maintained water levels in this a11~,~via1 svstem
during dry climatir_ conditions. The water level in alluvial well
COY (Figure A-36? remained fairly steady from May 1986 to ;;evtember
i987. The water level has declined nearly twenty fee± frr,m
September 1987 to September 199GJ ra£ler_ting the deg=line in recharEe
to this alluvium. The water level rleclineci at a slower rate in
1991 and 1992. Figure A-8 also shows a similar decline in water
• levels for Flume alluvial well GC.3 with more :?luctuatinns d~ae t.;
recharge.
Eiaure A-.37 presents the water-level elevation data for well
81-SJ3a. Water levels presented fer the monitoring period, based on
pressure readings. have considerable scatter but show a declining
trend from early 1989 to mid-1991. A smaller declinine trend was
observed for the remainder of 1991 and 1992 ,=xcept for the last
water level meas~.rrement.
The GLUX-1 well is used to monitor rre-mine conditions
upgradient of the Lux domestic well prior to mining in Browning and
Colt pits. Water levels for well GLU:{-i are ~resenterl on Eiaure
A-38. The _rrior twe years show an annual Spr^g ir,cre.=.se snd thin
a decline throueheut the r~mainrier of the ve'ar.
