The following values for the remaining factors have been approved in previous submittals:
Rainfall Factor R = 30
Soil Erodibility Factor K = 0.32 J
Erosion Control Practice Factor P = 1.0
The ECCS weighted values, and USLE parameters/values for each demonstration area in
comparison to the undisturbed area follows the summary page for each demonstration
area.
Conservative values were utilized throughout the USLE calculations for each of the areas.
Jr~ ~
Discharge from Ponds M3N and M3S (which currently receive approximately 60% of the ~~r \5~,<
disturbed area drainage) have met applicable effluent standards for quite some time. c'~ /Q
Given the fairly homogeneous nature of the reclaimed areas, the demonstration areas N~
should also meet the effluent standards.
• Evidence of excessive siltation or soil movement is lacking in all three demonstration
areas, with such observations being supported by the ECCS value for each area. Water
samples collected from Middle Creek (above and below the drainage point for
Demonstration Area #2) showed no significant differences under either dry conditions or
immediately following a rainfall event. These factors (coupled with the historic values for
the M3N and M3S discharge) support the submission of these areas under Rule 4.05.2121.
r1
TR 90-06 Exhibit 3 - 43 Revised 11/16/90
