Response to Adequacy. Review Comments
Colorado Mined Land= Reclamation Division
November 26, 1982
Land Use
1. The following-sections have been revised to reflect consid-
eration of irrigated cropland (2.9 acres) in the reclamation
.plan:
3.1 General Reclamation
3.1:1 Revegetation
3.,1.1:1 Seed Mixture:..
3_.1.2 Final, Hydrologic Restoration
_3..1..2.1 Channel Restoration
<4.1:1 Site. Specific Land Use
4:1.3..4-.1 -.:,.East Salt Creek Valley (Water Availability)
4.1.3.4..2 Side Valleys
Cultural and-Historic Resources
1. Sites.5GF741 and SGF742 are not located so as to be impacted
from construction or operational activities. Also, there
has been rio advisement from-any agency that the above sites
have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Salt Creek, therefore, and in compliance with Colorado Regu-
lation 2.05.6 (4) refrained from proposing measures to mini-
mite or prevent impacts.
2. A cultural and historic resource sampling inventory has been
conducted for all areas to be impacted by facilities. The
report will be submitted to the Division upon receipt. No
construction will be initiated prior to a survey and any miti-
gation required based upon such survey.
Surface Water
1. .5a3t Creek will, in the future, conform to Division require-
,.ments for design methods.
2. Salt Creek has designed-the Munger Creek selocatibn in accor-
dance with Rule 4.05.4 as can be seen in Appendix M of the '
original Munger Permit Application and additional calculations
shown in Appendix Ds of this revision.
3. Page 2-11 has been revised to include protection for the
small ephemeral drainages crossed by the Munger conveyor.
4. Salt Creek is not requesting a variance from the 100 f.oo.t
stream buffer zone requirement.
She stream. in question is not "a perennial tream or.stream
with a biological community determined'in aceD'rdance with
4.05.18 (3)." -The land-in question, therefore-;_'s excluded
-from the requirements of 4.05.18.
