Any cut slopes (high walls)
will be reduced to a slope no greater than 5:1 (ratio of horizontal to vertical) and wvered
with 6" of soil material.
The primary post mining land use is Rural Residential. As preparation for this usage, the
area will be leveled, compacted, and 5 acres provided with soil cover. Ten inches of
gravel will be applied [o four acres. As shown on Map E-3 the access roads into the
mining arcs will remain as a permanent road to access this area and adjacent properties.
Out-tying areas will be reclaimed to rangeland. Plant growth medium recovered prior to
or during mining operations will be uniformly spread over these areas to a minimum
depth of four (4) inches. Prior to seeding the azea will be rippod or disked to depth not to
exceed the growth medium cover depth.
Table 1 Reclamation Seed Mix
S»ecies lbs PLS/Acre
Western Wheatgrass S.0
Smooth brume
7.5
Blue gramma 2.0
Cicer milkvetch l .5
Little blue stem 1.0
TOTAL 20.0
The area will be seeded at the rate of 20 pounds of PLS per acre.
