We would like to see strong dust control measures implemented in the
disturbed azeas during reclamation. With our dry climate and lack of moisture recently, this has been a
major problem in this region.
We also have concerns about the future water quality of Fountain Creek and the potential runoff that may
occur during the extraction and reclamation phases. We advise that Lafarge West, Inc incorporate
appropriate measures to protect the water quality of Fountain Creek during the extraction phase of their
processing. We also recommend that a wildlife mitigation plan be put into place ifone has hot been done
thus faz.
Our final concern is the visibility of the proposed extraction on Interstate 25. We would like to see the
applicant mitigate their processing as much a possible in order to protect the view corridor from the
Interstate.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the proposed Larfazge West, Inc., Sundance Sand and Gravel
Resource surface extraction and reclamation.- We would appreciate if our comments aze'considered during
the applicant's application process.
