Stevens
Sr. Reclamation specialist
Gentlemen:
Re: Tiger Timber
Expansion Site
Permit No, M••91-082
Project No. 91020
Oberilrg, Worth ~ Associates (OIIA) has, at the Division's request, reviewed
the topographic condEtions along the South side of the Permit area, specifl tally
with respect to the potential of stot'IRwater runoff leaving the permit area. We
understand the state's requirement of maintaining the hydrologic balatrce with
respect to the mining activity and the fact that the load-out area of the mine
and the sawmill operation drains naturally to the South where flows leave the
site. The runoff could potentially carry silt and sediment as it leaves the Permit
area either as sheet flow West of the sawmill or In a concentrated manner in the
road ditches along the access road.
Tate operator, Tiger Timber, Inc., proposes to control the sediment load by
installing stlt fence approximately along the limit of existing disturbance West
of the sawmill. Tiger Timber further proposes to install hay bale silt c2recks in
the roadway- ditches along the access road in accordance with accepted
installation practices and at an interval suitable to control sediment from the
concentrated runoff. These runoff control systems would be maintained by the
Operator.
This letter becomes a part, of the application and amends Exhibits F:-1 and
E-2 as indicated herein. It !s the app11cant's understanding that this
commitment completes all of the DSvlslon's reyuirewents Por approval of the
reyuest for a permit.
