Goss: <br />~ch~b,~ ~ ~ ,~ecl2m~., <br />The area you have proposed to mine sand on the NE 4, SW~, Sec.'7, <br />T13S, R62W, is in the range sites Sandy Bottomland and Sandy <br />Foothills. On-site inspection. of the sites shows a high content <br />of sand, which will be difficult to revegetate. The following <br />recommendations ax•e submitted. <br />1. Any good topsoil should be stockpiled and spread over <br />the cuts made above the waterline of the pond. Cuts <br />and fills should be on a 3:1 slope or flatter, preferably <br />4 or 5:1. h]anure may be applied if available and in- <br />corporated into the top 4 to 611 of soil. Commercial <br />fertilizer should be incorporated into the soil at' a <br />rate of 40N cf available nitrogen and 40N of available <br />phosphate per acre. <br />2.
