• Well GF7 was completed in the Fail of 1987 in backfill
material where the HI coal seam was mined . Figure A-20 presents
water-level data collected for well GF7 . This hydrograph
indicates that water levels were slowly rising during 1987 and 1988
and may have begun to stabilize during 1989 in the backfill
material near well GF7. Figure A-21 presents the water-level
elevation plot for well GFII which was installed in July 1988 in
backfill material where the OR coal was mined and upgradient of
well GF6. This data indicates that the water levels in the
backfill are responding to precipitation rates.
Figure A-22 presents the water-level elevation data for OR
aquifer well GP1 . Well GPI is a flowing well and well head
• pressures have been converted to feet of water above the well
head. Water-level elevations for well GP1 reflect the decline in
total precipitation since 1986.
Well GP2 is completed in the KLM aquifer. The water-level
elevation plot is shown on Figure A-23. Levels have shown a small
decline for the three years since mid-1986. Changes in water-level
elevation in the KLM aquifer near well GP2 are not from mining
activities as the nearest mining is approximately two and one-
half miles away . Water-level elevation data for wells GPI and GP2
is tabulated in Table A-6.
Wells GP3 and GP4 are flowing wells and pressure readings for
them have been converted to water-level elevation . Water-level
elevation data for well GP3 is tabulated in Table A-6. Figure
• A-24 presents the plot of water-level elevation data versus time
2-10
