EXHIBIT D Wildlife,'Water Resources, Vegetation and Soil Information
Wildlife:
In observing the area of this permit, no wildlife was actually sited, with the
exception of a mouse and some small sparrows. However, we would expect
that there are a few rabbits in this area. The existing pits show signs of
game birds such as ducks and geese. No sitings of these waterfowl were
made, nor nest found, but duck blinds on the shores would indicate this to be so,
There may also be more wildlife along the river, however this is protected by a
high berm between the river and the exhisting pit therefore, wont be effected
by our operation. There is no evidence of any endangered mammalian species
in the area,
In Conclusion we are convinced that the proposed operation will have no sig-
nificant impact upon the Colorado Wildlife Program. The reclamation program
will enhance the property and provide an excellent refuge for wildlife.
Water Resources;
The natural water table on this property is approximately 10 ft, below ground
level, Operations will not require well water nor water from the Colorado River.
The water neccessary for the washing operations will be obtained from the de-
watering process in abandon Gravel Pit # 2, The discharge of this water,
after washing the material will be deposited in abandon Pit # 3,
In conclusion we will use only water that is natuxally available and return it to
the area within the boundaries of this permit, The water lost will be thru evap-
oration, which occurs under existing conditions.
