• Area E: <br />This area is not significantly different from Area D. There were <br />some large-leafed composites -- a large yellow flower was in bud -- <br />and there was more oak. <br />Area F: <br />This area was dominated by pinon, juniper, and Gambel's oak. In <br />addition, specimens of prickly pear, miscellaneous forbs, and big <br />sagebrush (Artemesia tridentata) were seen. Common plants included <br />the following, in addition to those mentioned above: <br />Symphoricarpus, snowberry (identification tentative, as it was <br />just leafing out) <br />Juniperus osteosperma, Utah juniper <br />Yucca 1g duCd, yucca <br />Mahonia re ens, Oregon grape , <br />Area G: <br />This area, which has been mined, is virtually bare; but a few <br />small forbs were seen to be growing. <br />• Area H: <br />This area is a fairly deep gully, and is again dominated by pinon, <br />juniper, and oak. In addition, the following plants were noted: <br />Pseudotsuga menziesii, Douglas fir. Three specimens. <br />Chrysothamnus sue., rabbitbrush <br />Yucca lg auca, yucca <br /> <br />
