It formed in medium ter.ttu•ed al]uvlwn <br />from sandstone and shale. The average annual precipitation Ss 16 to 20 <br />inches. The average annual air temperature 1's 45 to 50 degrees. The <br />frost free season is 110 to 130 days. <br />Typically, the surface layer is dart, Grayish trown fine sandy loam about <br />15 Snches thick. The upper part of the subsoil is dark €raylsh brown sandy <br />clay loam about 18 inches thick. The lower part of the subsoil is brown <br />sandy clay loam about 23 inches thick. The sutstratum is brown light <br />s andy clay loam that extends to 60 inches or more. <br />Included in this unit is ]5 percent Todero loam and small areas of soils <br />that lack a thick, dark colored surface layer. <br />Fermeabillty is moderate. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches or more. <br />Available water capacity is high. Surface runoff is moderate and erosion <br />hazard is mod=rate. <br />i • <br />I. <br />This soil is used crimarily for irrigated cropland, dry cropland, rareeland, <br />and wildlife areas.
