Colowyo Coal Company has six of
these NOIs. The Division would like to do whatever is necessary to begin closing these
files and releasing the bonds as appropriate. Fot some of the NOIs, reports have not
been submitted as required by the Rules. The open NOIs are listed below with a
summary and comments regarding what needs to be done to move the process along.
CX-1999-109-06
A $60,000 bond remains open on this project.
The project consists of 31 sites listed in the NOI application. Most of these drillholes
were scheduled to be mined through.
The Division needs a 180-day report to describe the sites/drillholes for which work was
completed and those which may not have been disturbed.
The Division needs a final abandonment report for those drillholes which were
abandoned, including those which may have extended beneath the pit floor.
A final reclamation report is also required to describe the status of all the work proposed
in the notice of intent, including when sites were reclaimed and seeded.
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
