The present excavation has reached a conglomerate layer
and future excavation will be a continuation of the present faces and not
exceeding the depth established by this conglomerate layer.
It is the owner's wish to completely deplete the gravel reserves in this
manner before any reclamation work is done. The owner's reclamation plan
is as follows:
1. Topsoil overburden will be removed and hauled to area indicated
on attached map and stockpiled for final reclamation. Sagebrush
to be piled for burning in a designated area.
2. If any faces remain, they will be sloped to 1:1 and seeded with
western wheat grass at a rate of 7-8 lbs./acre.
3. Stockpiled topsoil will be spread and leveled to a minimum depth*
of 9" over the entire excavated area, then seeded with western
wheat grass at a rate of 7-8 lbs./acre.
4. Trash disposal area during construction period shall be designated
by owner. No off-specification material shall be left or burned
on leased area but placed in an area designated by owner.
5. Any roads, other than ones designated by owner, shall be removed
and seeded also.
This depth may vary due to irregularities in the pit floor and slope,
and the amount of topsoil available.
RECEIVED
DEC 22 1976
RECL:~P.4ATInN SECTION
Co!c.
