Dear Randy:
Transmitted herewith are the results of six triaxial shear
tests performed on samples delivered to our office by your
organization. The triaxial shear tests are presented in the
form of a Mohr envelope as shown on the attached sheets.
In obtaining the Friction angle, the material was densified
to unit weights of between 100 and 103 pounds per cubic foot.
The materials were saturated by back pressure techniques prior
to performing the tests. It will be noted that friction angles
of 24.8 and 25 degrees were obtained for these materials,
respectively.
