REC~~v~~ • 1111111111111111111 A
999 ,
MAR - 3 1980
FIRST AMENDMENT TO MINING AND RECLAMATION PLAN
MINED LAND REOLAMATIO
olo. Dept. of Natural Resources
MCFARLAND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PERMIT APPLICATION

1. Mining Plan. The total amount of land to be mined is
approximately /~r/~ acres. It is anticipated that in any given year
no more than one acre of land will be mined for the production of
approximately fifty thousand tons of aggregate. An additional one
acre of land will be used for stock-piling of overburden, rough
material and finished crushed aggregate product. The mining will
commence in the Southwest corner of the tract and proceed in a
North direction. The present slope of the mining area is basically
flat as it constitutes the bed of Eight Mile Creek. It is anticipated
that the working life of the pit will be approximately nine years
total with an additional six month maximum allowable for conclusion
of reclamation of the land and in conformity with the recommendations
of the Soil Conservation Service.
2. Reclamation Plan. The recommendations of the Soil
Conservation Service will be followed for all reclamation,
In any given year the reclamation will be completed on no less
than one acre and, in any event, upon all land which is available for
and subject to reclamation, The slope of the reclamation will be on
the two-to-one or three-to-one slope or at such other slope as is
recommended by the Soil Conservation Service or Mined Land Reclamation
Board field personel after inspection of the site.
In addition to the receding mixtures recommended by the Soil
Conservation Service, the operator agrees to accept the recommendation
of James L. Schmieding, Mined band Reclamation Board, Reclamation
Specialist, for the addition of Western Wheat-grass and Russian Wild
Rye in the amounts specified in Mr. Schmieding`s letter of February 15,
1980.
MCFARLAND C NSTRUCTION COMPANY ~`
b m McF lan Jr. ~" ~ ~~
