Re: Qu~len Company
dba Craig Sand & Gravel
Sand and Gravel Pits
April 13, 1977
TO WHOM IT MAY COPICERN:
•
Upon request of Bob Quillen of Craig, I made a survey trip with Pat Weber,
Craig Sand & Gravel Superintendent, and Charles Brown, W.C.O.. lJe covered
the five mining pit areas for the sand and gravel operation. These pits
are known as the Butler Sand Pit, Davidson Pit, Fedinec Pit, Funk Pit and
Estey #3 Pit. The present operation covers 10 acres, or less, at each pit
location.
soR~e of
We observed~~the wild life, included in the attached listing, while on this
survey trip. We did not observe any endangered species in the area.
Since these are all dry land pits, there will be no disturbing of water-
fowl.
It appears, that when the pit areas are reclaimed, seeded and properly
sloped, there will be improved pasture land for grazing purposes over the
original pasture.
I see no conflict with the wild life in these areas.
Attachment (1)
Sincerely yours,
l
(' (~ i
,`<
~ `'
,;

~~._
