The allowance of a sand and gravel extraction
pit on the subject property would cause a certain amount of
adverse environmental influences due to traffic congestion,
dust and noise on the proposed haul roads, and dust and noise
emanating from the pit itself. To approve the proposed sand
and gravel extraction pit upon the following terms and conditions
would minimize the adverse effects and adverse environmental
influences upon the adjacent and nearby properties.
11. Evidence was submitted intending to show that the
operation of a gravel pit may have an adverse effect upon agricultural
and domestic water wells in the area. To approve the operation
upon the condition hereafter set forth with respect to a study
indicating no adverse impacts, would be consistent with the general
health, welfare and prosperity of the users of such wells in the
area.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made
its findings upon the petition and upon the resolution of the
Larimer County Planning Commission, which findings precede this
resolution, and by reference are incorporated herein and made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has care-
fully considered the petition, resolution, evidence and testimony
presented to it, and has given the same such weight as it in its
discretion deems proper, and is now fully advised in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the petition of
Three Bell Ranch Associates for the permission to operate a sand
and gravel extraction pit only in the FA-1 Farming zone upon the
following described property be and the same hereby is granted
upon the following conditions:
1.
