The allowance of a sand and gravel extraction <br />pit on the subject property would cause a certain amount of <br />adverse environmental influences due to traffic congestion, <br />dust and noise on the proposed haul roads, and dust and noise <br />emanating from the pit itself. To approve the proposed sand <br />and gravel extraction pit upon the following terms and conditions <br />would minimize the adverse effects and adverse environmental <br />influences upon the adjacent and nearby properties. <br />11. Evidence was submitted intending to show that the <br />operation of a gravel pit may have an adverse effect upon agricultural <br />and domestic water wells in the area. To approve the operation <br />upon the condition hereafter set forth with respect to a study <br />indicating no adverse impacts, would be consistent with the general <br />health, welfare and prosperity of the users of such wells in the <br />area. <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made <br />its findings upon the petition and upon the resolution of the <br />Larimer County Planning Commission, which findings precede this <br />resolution, and by reference are incorporated herein and made a <br />part hereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has care- <br />fully considered the petition, resolution, evidence and testimony <br />presented to it, and has given the same such weight as it in its <br />discretion deems proper, and is now fully advised in the premises; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the petition of <br />Three Bell Ranch Associates for the permission to operate a sand <br />and gravel extraction pit only in the FA-1 Farming zone upon the <br />following described property be and the same hereby is granted <br />upon the following conditions: <br />1. The maintenance and operation of concrete and asphalt <br />batch plants be prohibited. <br />-3- <br />
