They may or may not have a <br />gleycd layer in the underlying material, <br />Pfost of these §oils are subJect ro flooding. A ,~atc,cablc i.s at or <br />near the surface early [n the spring and recedes to as deep ns 48 <br />inches by late fall in some years. <br />These soils arc used for rangeland and wildlife habitat. Some small <br />areas have been reclair_ed by major drainage and leveling operations <br />and is farmed [o irrigated crops. <br />71,e potential native vegetation on [l,ese soils is clon,inatcd by alkali <br />saca[on, switchgrass and western wheAtgrass. Sal[grASS, sedge, rush <br />and alkali bluegrass are Also prominent.
