This <br />project will not have any water requirements for its operation. The only surface water <br />would be drainage that occurs because of a heavy rainfall. Rainfall in the area ranges <br />from 15 to 19 inches per year. The site will generally not be impacted by water. The <br />water table in the area is substantially below the surface, in most cases from 150' to 200' <br />deep. <br />2) We are filing a stormwater management plan with the Water Quality Control Division <br />of the Colorado Department of Health. <br />EXHIBIT H -Wildlife Information <br />Notice has been sent to the local wildlife conservation officer concerning the proposed <br />112 gravel pit. Common species in northeast Colorado could include bird species of <br />Cassin's sparrow, chestnut collared longspur, lazk bunting, western meadowlazk, and <br />ferruginous and Swainsan's hawks. Small mammals that might be found include white- <br />tailed and black-tailed jackrabbit, badger, pronghorn antelope, coyote, swift fox, plains <br />pocket gopher, long-tailed weasel, and several species of mice. Reptiles might include <br />the western rattlesnake, race snake, western box turtle, and six-lined racerunner. Other <br />animals and birds common to Logan County could also be found at the site from time to <br />time. <br />Based on several visits to the site, no significant wildlife was observed. The site <br />adjoins additional grassland areas that hazbor the same wildlife. There are no known <br />threatened or endangered species. The applicant anticipates no significant impact on <br />wildlife. <br />
