. SECTION 6.0 Stock Tank and Dozer Basin Construction Through 2002.
6.1 Stock Tanks
This section updates the location of all constructed stock tanks through 2002 (see Map(s) 3 Section 3.0).
The average tank density for Trapper mined-land areas will not exceed one tank per ten acres. Table 6-
1describes the as-built tank density in association with the specific drainage areas.
In 2002, Trapper did not construct any new stock tanks. One or more new stock tanks may be
constructed in 2003.
Existing stock tanks meet applicable certification standards.
6.2 Dozer Basins
As a result of the approval of technical revision TR-73 (January 1997), dozer basin locations will be
provided in this Appendix W document on an annual basis (see Map(s) 3 Section 3.0).
Dozer basins assist sediment impoundments in the containment of sediment, reducing the frequency of
sediment impoundment cleaning. Dozer basins are typically constructed along haulroads, regraded
• spoils, and/or on short or long term disturbed sites.
rv~ aroa
]DMG~02PONDIe~a60]
•
