6.3.3 EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan
The proposed plan generally addresses the requirements of the rules for this exhibit,
however, there aze a few areas that will require additional information. Specifically, any
facilities that aze used in conjunction with the mining operation must be included within
the affected azea and shown on the mining plan map. The plan mentions that two ponds
will be used for the sluice operation, however, they are not included on the map as being
located within the affected azea boundary. Please locate these ponds on the map. Also, if
topsoil is salvaged off this site and stockpiled for future use in reclamation, it must also
be stored within the affected area boundaries. In addition, if this material is not going to
be re-applied within one year of salvage, it must be seeded with a temporary seed mix
approved by our office. Basically, any activity that is ancillary to the mining operation
(ie: stockpiling of product, processing of material, etc.) must be included within the
affected area and shown on the mine plan map.
Also, please specify how you will comply with applicable Colorado water laws and
regulations. (See attached memo from State Engineer).
6.3.4 EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan
The proposed reclamation plan will be acceptable once a seed mix is submitted and
approved. The plan states that the site will be re-seeded with native grasses and flowers.
However, in order to accurately calculate the financial warranty you must specify the
exact seed mixture that will be proposed for use on the site along with the seeding
application method (ie: broadcast seeding, drill seeding, fertilizer use, mulching, etc.).
Once this information is received and approved, the final financial warranty will be
calculated.
6.3.5 EXHIBIT E -Map
In addition to meeting the specifications of Rule 6.2 for all maps (Must include map
scale, legend, map title, date and north arrow and scale must be not larger than 1 inch =50
feet or smaller than linch = 600 feet) the map must:
-Label the names and owners of record of surface of the affected area and of the land
within 200 feet of affected azea and all permanent man-made structures within 200 feet
of affected land (ie: Highway)
-outline all major features to be used to conduct mining( ie: pit boundary, topsoil piles,
product stockpiles, processing equipment, water diversions, etc)
The office suggests that you prepare a map to the appropriate scale that shows just the
permitted area in both mining phase and reclamation phase that can be tied into a survey
point off of the survey plat. Essentially, the portion of the survey map that you have
