Approximately 20 Serviceberry <br /> and 20 Common Gooseberry shrubs will be planted at irregular <br /> ' intervals among the transplanted trees. These secondary <br /> species will encourage voluntary revegetation, and they will <br /> enhance the potential for wildlife habitation on this site. <br /> At the conclusion of these proposed milling operations, the <br /> mill buildings will be maintained for future use. The shaft <br /> collars and mine portals will be fenced and secured with <br /> ' heavy steel plate doors to prevent future unauthorized <br /> entries from occurring. The mine access roads have been in <br /> existence since the 1870' s, and provide access to other mines <br /> ' and patented mining claims in this area, and hence will not <br /> be completely abandoned and reclaimed. <br /> ' The only other area disturbed by this milling operation will <br /> be the ore yard on the south end of the building. This area <br /> will be retained as a parking lot to service the mill <br /> building for future use. <br /> ' Upon the completion of this reclamation plan, the land <br /> surfaces affected by the mining and milling activities of COX <br /> ' Inc. /Homestate Inc. will be restored to a forest environment <br /> with an enhanced suitability for wildlife habitation.
