In reviewing your
comments with Mr. Webster, it will be of assistance to us
to have the statutory and regulatory authority upon which
you are basing your requirement to have our client submit
an operational plan, reclamation bond and environmental
assessment as commented upon in your recent correspondence.
In view of the fact that the mining claims were located in
the late 1940s and early 1950 and further in view of the
fact that there is and ha: been pending a patent application
for these properties with the Bureau of Land Management since
July of 1980. We, naturally, want to make sure that we are
not exposing Mr. Webster to the not inconsiderable expense
of duplicitous applications.
Would appreciate your
your office that we will work
comply with the necessary and
PC/mh
cc: Mr. Chuck Webster
Mr. James B. McArdle
comments and, naturally, assure
with you to pr y and property
proper fil~'
Yo fs v~ truly,
Peter Cosgriff
